119 Sound pushing this fresh juke EP from San Fransisco’s Pawn. I know this isn’t a post about dubstep and it’s on The Dubstep Blog, but this has some major jungle influences in it and it’s safe to assume a lot of you come from that spectrum of electronic music so this could catch your attention. Also, one word: bass. We are all children of the sub frequencies here and this is definitely apart of it. Back to the release. As I said before this one has some heavy jungle influences from the drums to the bass, this new take on juke that has an intense grit to it that is sure to attract a broader audience and bring juke to the masses. This one’s going to smash the juke and footwork arena and is a refreshing new take on the genre. Don’t sleep on this one and miss out! This one’s out September 11th so until then, we hope this will hold you over.

The track of the day is a big filthy remix from Protohype, who is releasing banger after banger lately. He has been touring a bunch too, so if you are lucky you can catch him in a city near you soon.

WILLY JOY just released his 100 BPM rework of the A$AP Rocky panty dropper, “Fuckin Problem.” This Chicago DJ and producer has been climbing the ranks quickly and getting love from the likes of Diplo, Crookers, Dillon Francis, and BBC Radio 1. Dancefloor sweat is his specialty, yet having had his hands dipped in other genres like House, Moombah, and Juke, there is no cookie-cutter fashion about Willy’s game. Named one of the Next 100 artists to watch by URB Magazine, peep the cracking drums and giant synths in this remix and tell me you don’t agree.
